Christmas Bash
On Friday 19th December the Youth Council held it's 2nd Annual 'Christmas Bash'.
Around eighty revellers descended on Dunmore House in Clonakilty. A lovely meal was enjoyed by all and the hotel were very welcoming to us all. The entertainment was provided by DJ Eric from Limerick Diocese. Lots of mad dancing games were organised by Ben and Ross.
All in all it was a great evening and a fitting end to a very enjoyable and progressive year in the life of the Youth Ministry in our Diocese.
When I went to pay the bill to the hotel, the owner remarked that all her staff were saying how pleasant all the young people were and remarked that everyone seemed to have a good time without the need to get drunk! Sort of re-enforces what I have always said, that we all have a responsibility to provide safe, positive environments for our young people and allow them the space just to 'Be'!
